PROFESSIONAL PROFILE - Janette Mulherin
Janette Mulherin has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Education (Organisational Development) and is an accredited member of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators and LEADR. She has over fifteen years' experience working in the area of organisational learning and development including Equal Employment Opportunity. She has worked across higher education, local and state government, and private sector organisations in Queensland, Northern Territory and North America. Her professional experience includes working in senior human resources roles in:- Central Queensland University
- University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada)
- Brisbane City Council
- State Library of Queensland
- Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment. (Northern Territory Government)
Janette is a Licensed Workplace Investigator. She has undertaken investigations within local government in compliance,
regulatory and transport and traffic areas. She is a nationally accredited mediator and accredited member of The Institute
of Arbitrators and Mediators.
Her work in Equal Employment Opportunity involved undertaking workplace investigations and mediation into cases of alleged bullying, harassment and discrimination.Janette has conducted both individual and larger scale workplace mediations in public sector, not for profit, and independent school environments. Whilst based in the Northern Territory Janette facilitated sessions between government agencies, Traditional Owners and Land Councils regarding the achievement of joint National Park management.She holds a Cert IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and is a
highly experienced facilitator. Janette has facilitated sessions with Park Rangers on a river bank in Central Australia as
well as in heritage listed buildings with senior bureaucrats. Her facilitation trademark is adaptability and authenticity.
Janette is a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia and conducts career as well as
Executive and conflict coaching for government and private sector organisations.
